Before You Book

  • Is Miami Pool Cottage available for my dates?

    The easiest way to check is to enter your dates directly on the booking page. If your dates are open, you’ll be able to request or complete your reservation right away.

  • Is the Cottage private?

    Yes — you book the entire cottage. The hosts live in the main house on the same half-acre property, but guests have the cottage to themselves.

  • Do the hosts live on the property?

    Yes. The hosts live in the main house at the front of the property, while the Cottage sits separately toward the back. 


    We do our utmost to give you complete privacy. We don't use the garden or the pool during your stay, but you may see us maintain the pool or do some laundry.

  • Will we still have privacy if the hosts live on site?

Pricing, Payments, and Policies

  • Can you offer a discount?

    Pricing depends on season, demand, length of stay, and booking channel fees. Feel free to ask, and we’ll let you know if there’s any flexibility for your dates.

  • Are there long-stay discounts?

    Longer stays already include a discount through the booking platforms.

  • Does the total price include everything?

    Your booking platform calculates the nightly rate, taxes, and platform fees. 


    If you change the number of guests or add optional extras, the total may adjust.

  • Are there extra guest charges?

    Possibly. If your group size changes, the booking total may increase depending on the number of guests and the length of stay.


    We're also happy to help you book attractions, add on property services, etc. Those are additional charges. 

  • Do you collect the full payment up front?

    Yes. Payment is collected at the time of booking, subject to the cancellation terms shown for your reservation.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Cancellation terms depend on the reservation, but guests often ask this before booking, and we’re happy to clarify the exact policy that applies to your stay before you confirm.

Pets

  • Are pets allowed?

    Yes — dogs are allowed.

  • Are all pets allowed?

    No. The Cottage allows dogs only, and guests are asked to review the pet rules before booking.

  • Is there a pet fee?

    Yes. In the Cottage threads, guests were told there is a pet fee of $35 per dog per night, plus a refundable pet deposit.


    Of course, Service Dogs stay for free, although we will report the misrepresentation of a pet as a service dog to the State. 

  • How many dogs can we bring?

    We allow one dog in the cottage. 

  • Is the yard good for dogs?

    Is the yard good for dogs?

    Yes — this is one of the Cottage’s strongest selling points for pet owners.

After Booking

  • What happens after I reserve?

    After booking, you will be asked to complete a few pre-arrival steps, such as guest verification and check-in details. Once those are complete, your reservation is confirmed, and arrival instructions are sent before check-in.

  • Why do I need guest verification?

    Guest verification is part of the reservation process and helps protect both guests and the property. The online process takes just a few minutes. 


    Verification helps us combat human trafficking and fraudulent reservations. 


    We’ll send you the link and instructions after the reservation.

  • Can I ask questions before arrival?

    Absolutely. We’re happy to help with planning, logistics, and anything else that helps you feel prepared before your trip.

Arrival and Check-In

  • What time is check-in?

    Standard check-in is 4:00 PM. 

  • What time is check-out?

    Standard check-out is 10:00 AM.

  • Can I request early check-in?

    Yes — you can reserve an early check-in on the guest portal, if the calendar and cleaning schedule allow it. 


    We’ll confirm your early check-in a week before your arrival.

  • Can I request late check-out?

    Yes — you can reserve an late check-out on the guest portal, if the calendar and cleaning schedule allow it. 


    We’ll confirm your late check-out when you arrive.

  • Can I book same-day and check in right away?

    Sometimes, yes. Same-day arrivals may be possible, but they depend on availability, cleaning status, and completion of our required pre-arrival steps, which may make your check-in time later than 4 pm. 

  • What is the check-in process like?

    Check-in is designed to be simple and smooth. Guests receive arrival instructions before check-in, and all guests are welcomed with a quick walkthrough of the home.

  • Is the backyard fenced?

Laundry, Parking, and Practical Details

  • Is there a washer and dryer?

    Yes.

  • Is the laundry inside the Cottage?

    No. The laundry room is outside, near the hosts’ house, along the path to the Cottage. Guests are welcome to use it.

  • Is parking available?

    Yes. Parking is available on site.

  • How many cars fit?

    There is free parking for 2 cars.

  • Is EV charging available?

    Yes. Guests were told they can book EV charging if one of their vehicles is electric.


    Simply add the EV charging option to your stay in your guest portal.

Families, Babies, and Child-Friendly Extras

  • Do you provide a crib or pack ’n play?

    Yes, please request it before arrival.

  • Do you provide a high chair?

    Yes, please request it before arrival.

  • Is the Cottage suitable for babies and toddlers?

    Yes, but guests should know the Cottage is cozy and compact. Families with little ones have reviewed it very positively.

    We have a pool alarm that you should use with a baby and a toddler, and the kitchen cabinet with the cleaning supplies has a child proof lock.

Visitors, Gatherings, and Group Size

  • Can we have visitors over?

    Please ask in advance. Small daytime visits may be possible, but all gatherings must stay within house rules and occupancy limits.

  • Can we host a party?

    No.

  • Can we host a BBQ or small celebration?

    Possibly. Small celebrations may be allowed with prior approval, especially when they are respectful, daytime gatherings rather than parties.

  • Is the Cottage good for larger groups?

    It depends on your comfort level. The Cottage can sleep up to 6, it is still a small cottage and may feel tight for some groups.


    The maximum occupancy is 6 guests.

  • Can you help with birthdays, graduations, or special occasions?

    Yes. Miami Pool Oasis is a popular choice for birthdays, reunions, and milestone trips, and we may be able to help with special touches.


    We love to work with our guests to decorate the Oasis for Birthday, Graduation or Engagement Celebrations. Book them on your guest portal.
